It's November!

Wow where has the time flown? We have been very busy in our grade 2 class this past month.  In science we are learning about Small, Crawling and Flying Creatures.  We have read about and studied bees, spiders and last week bats.  Next will we move onto ants.  Students have been very engaged in learning about this insects, arachnids and mammals(not birds).

In Reading, we are working on finding the Just right books to read when it is read to self time.  Students have the books for 2-3 days then trade in for new ones.  Their other books are then quarantined for 3 days before being put back into circulation.

In Writing we are working on using adjectives or juicy words, starting our sentences with a sound, question or place to make our writing more interesting to the reader.

Have a good week.
